Customer teams should just be forced to buy year-old chassis.

I've been reading up on the Spyker car, and yes, it is very unfair for them to have to compete against teams with customer cars. For certain, customer car teams should not be able to compete for constructor points.

Also, a nice inspiring quote from Gascoyne on the passion that drives a team rather than the budget. And since he's coming directly from Toyota it means all the more:
You know, let's go and put some noses out of joint. Harvey [Postlethwaite] always had the philosophy, and I inherited it from him, that I'm quite happy spending the rest of my life proving that it's not just about how much money you spend, it's an engineering business and you can beat people by being clever and doing good engineering. This is a good opportunity to try and prove that.
