Why would they? Winning 9 in a row is worth far more than gifting Webber a win he doesn't want.SectorOne wrote:Latest news reports say neither Red Bull nor Vettel will hand anything to Webber.
With double DRS making passes easy it's deemed a disgrace. When Hulkenberg keeps Hamilton & Alonso behind for lap after lap it's deemed a disgrace. The FIA can't win unfortunately.Juzh wrote:http://184.106.145.74/f1-championship/f ... 0FIAv1.pdf
Why do we need drs up the hill? Combined with the next drs zone coming immediately after it, it will be virtually impossible to defend anything.
You should take that up with the media instead of me. I just reported on what the media said regarding the situation.Jonnycraig wrote:Why would they? Winning 9 in a row is worth far more than gifting Webber a win he doesn't want.
IMO Vettel is working on his overall image off the track, given the chance he might just gift Webber a win if he has the chance. It would be a massive boost to his image. On the other hand Vettel is chasing records and it would certainly be one for the books for 9 in a row....The question is whether Webber would even take it...garygph wrote:I think Vettel would rather chew on his own proverbials than let win even if Webber "deserves" it, it would help his image though and he is working on that. I don't see him doing it, too painfull ( letting Webber win that is).CHT wrote:my prediction is that if Vettel lead and webber close behind, vettel will let webber pass to win the race
I consider it as a race incident.ChrisF1 wrote:Never heard anybody else question that before, if a punishment had been given then it would have just led to F1 becoming even more daft with its racing incident punishments.Jonnycraig wrote:There was also the rather 'questionable' decision to not give Button a second DT for punting Alonso out of the race.raymondu999 wrote:No I actually didn't like 2011 Canada. I hate races of attrition. I want everyone to finish the race, and no slicks to appear (we did get the supersofts on in Canada)
I dont want to see Vettel letting Webber to overtake him, but if Webber leads the race Vettel could be more gentle and not so aggressive, as for example, Malaysia.turbof1 wrote:Webber isn't the type of receiving gifts. He'd rather loose then being handed over the victory just like that.
I wouldn't want it either. How would you feel if you won your last grand prix only because your team mate held back? It's actually more sad then nice. It's by no means satisfying.
