Just look at Schumacher - despite the one with the highest number of pretty much everything, he rarely comes out on top when people analyse the "all time greats". I think much of that has to do with some controversial acts for which he'll never be forgotten - the same that will likely hold true for Vettel as well - and his winning in such a dominant car isn't helping him in this regard either. Helping Webber to a grand F1 outting in a less obvious way will do a lot more good than the number 9.
As said above, the people who like to kid themselves that Vettel isn't the best driver on the grid and an all time great are not going to suddenly admit it if he lets Webber win this weekend.

Vettel seems even hungrier than MS regarding those achievements, late season 2002/2004 there were races "designated" for Rubens and MS played along just fine.
Even Schumi seems to be more generous in this aspect, and Schumi was not exactly a "generous guy".

Vettel wants to equal Schumis victory record in one season(but with more races I must remark) so he is not going to help Webber. Anyway if he does, he will gain some respect, and perhaps now, he needs more this than another victory.

Anyone knows which compounds are for those 2 wet weather tyres?

Well, so Mercedes has shown again that its pace is good on wet conditions, anyway Vettel hasnt unveiled his true pace.

Some showers are expected for tomorrow so we could have some surprises. I would like to see Vettel and Hamilton starting the race behind the 10th position because they could show us some spectacular overtakes.

Smashed i´m not so sure about. Mansell smashed everyone is a better term 23 seconds ahead of Schumacher.
Senna did spin though.
Smashed would be 1993 Donington.
You mean the Williams FW14B smashed the opposition, just as the RB9 does.

Donington 1993: Senna stopped 5 times, Prost 7 times and he was on the wrong tyre for most of the time.
In 1993, Senna's McLaren had active suspension and TC.

When Michael smashed the opposition in Catalunya 1996 (his first win for Ferrari btw), active suspension and TC were banned. Furthermore he had problems with the car from the middle of the race on and was still able to be up to 3 seconds quicker per lap.

Imo, Catalunya 1996 >>> Donington 1993 in terms of impressive driving in the rain.

Sorry for the offtopic.

78 min: Current pacesetter Rosberg joins the track, as we hear a familiar message crackle over Webber's radio - his KERS has failed.
Are his mechanics incompetent, or are they actually giving Weber faulty parts these days?

No it's not about the mechanics, never been. They had 2 different cars most of the time.

Vettel will not help Webber obviously and no one ever asked him to do so. Mark would want to win his final race without anyone's help.
Also this race is like an end to an era and a start to a new one. From 2009 until now there's been one team on top with the fastest car on the grid in every single season. So I am happy to see this leaving with all my disappointments past 5 seasons. I am hoping this new era will be better.

Incompetent retards lol. If anyone wants to test 2014 tires in the dry, they'll be compromising their race weekend and that decision should fully be in their hands. Let them if they want to; the tyres have already traveled halfway round the world... What a waste.

Anyone think Webber has been testing some 2014 components and it's part of the reason he has so many mechanical "issues"?

You know it´s bad when a guy who quite enjoys the rainy days is hoping for a dry session...

On the other hand he has been been doing fairly well in wet Q3´s, Australia, Malaysia and Belgium.

Will the drivers get an extra set of inters/wets because both FP1 and FP2 were wet?
