It's the old right place right time conundrum, dan has got both if those right, now he has to make good in 2014 which I think he will.

It's a Shame hulk isn't at Ferrari with Alonso next yeah IMO.

Hahah someone took a pic of Maldonado in Lotus boxes after the race on sunday. Nicholas Todt and Boullier also appear on the pic. Its on flavio gomes blog. I don't know how to post img here. If someone want to look for, just search for "flavio gomes warm up" on google.

Dan was certainly at the right place at the right time, and I don't blame him for that, as I don't blame Vettel for being the better STR driver at the time of DC's retirement.

Whether Dan is deserving of a top drive or not I'm not so sure. In my mind at the moment he's more Perez-level than Hulkenberg/Grosjean-level.

Oh that's harsh comparing Dan to a wannabe like Perez!

Having seen Vergnes interview on Sky at Korea, his run of poor results since Britain is no surprise. The bloke looked completely destroyed and at the risk of this becoming a driver thread, I actually agree with him that Ricciardo is no better than him.

Even well before the announcement it was blatantly obvious Dan was the faster of the two drivers.

I dont see a great difference between the two drivers though Ricciardo has been more consistent through the season.

Each day it seems very clear that Maldonado is going to sign with Lotus, anyway I still have a little hope about an agreement between Hulk and Lotus, though its a little bit unreal.

The Russian deal for Sauber seems to have fallen through.

Here's an interesting post-race snapshot from Brazil...

russian money is a matter of sirotkin driving by the looks of things -so they need to develop him -then get him a superlicence that might bring some money but not make a living ...yet.

I thought a driver and his manager talking with the bosses of a team he hasn't officially signed with after his last race for a team he's known to be leaving would be a significant thing.

Meaning Hulk didn't have the required sponsorship $$$. The Mexican loot has run out, time for Sauber to panic...
