Sounds more like a v12 to me.geraldix wrote:Rumors say that Ferrari is testing their new V6 turbo engine at Fiorano using a modified LaFerrari test mule.

I don't know if it's the V6 or not but some remarks:Cold Fussion wrote:Sounds more like a v12 to me.geraldix wrote:Rumors say that Ferrari is testing their new V6 turbo engine at Fiorano using a modified LaFerrari test mule.

Yeah, does not sound like NA V12 to me.Ogami musashi wrote:I don't know if it's the V6 or not but some remarks:
-The car has an intake scoop that is not present on the laferrari
-You can hear a whine sound that to me sounds like a turbo while laferrari V12 is NA
-Yesterday ferrari tweeted an image with a truck unloading something and they titled it "what you could it be? 2014 F1 car shakedown??" which is it was obvioulsy not but could be just that testing mule with a 2014 engine.
Just my two cents
If it is the Ferrari V6T then I would have to say it sounds much better than the Renault or Mercedes engine sound preview.Ogami musashi wrote:I don't know if it's the V6 or not but some remarks:Cold Fussion wrote:Sounds more like a v12 to me.geraldix wrote:Rumors say that Ferrari is testing their new V6 turbo engine at Fiorano using a modified LaFerrari test mule.

I think all engines tend to sound better in open air than on the dyno.wuzak wrote:If it is the Ferrari V6T then I would have to say it sounds much better than the Renault or Mercedes engine sound preview.
To me they do not sound the same (but of course it can because of position of observer and atmospheric conditions) but the whistle noise in not present here and in the supposed V6 video it can be heard the whole time not only on braking.Holm86 wrote:I think this video is the best one to compare it to.

They sound alike but not interely the same. But that could just be changes in the exhaust.
The whistle noises can be the KERS charging during braking.
I just think its the LaFerrari.
Too me they sound the same, the only difference being the chatterish noise the car makes under breaking in the first video (which could be kers as you say). When it's flat it sounds like a typical v12 to me. Maybe someone could do some acoustical analysis.Holm86 wrote:I think this video is the best one to compare it to.
