Adrian Sutil has secured a deal with Sauber to ensure himself a race seat for 2014. He will effectively make the inverse move of Nico Hulkenberg who joined Force India following his departure at Sauber.

to be honest, i wouldn't weigh too much on kovalainen's chances at caterham with or without his lotus results.
it's been kovalainen doing the talk, he's been doing that for a while. caterham has remained silent on these matters
for a long time, past years just aswell. If any, I remember kovalainen got the worst because of his attitude, with Tony
not being very happy with his behaviour at some point.
Caterham obviously felt the need to get some input from his side on the car in some friday testings. I don't think
Caterham ever felt the need or thought to put heikki back into racing trim. Heikki obviously felt otherwise, because
he seemed to brag all over the news that he instantly opts for a 14 racing seat - but that is politics aswell.
I do believe he might have had some interest from some teams, perhaps williams or sauber, but whatever it's worth,
surely his performances at lotus destroy any future ambition in F1. I think he just should take his loss and go race
somewhere else. WEC like webber for example.
"Explain the ending to F1 in football terms"
"Hamilton was beating Verstappen 7-0, then the ref decided F%$& rules, next goal wins
while also sending off 4 Hamilton players to make it more interesting"
Kamui Kobayashi was spotted at Caterham's factory.
GP2's Marcus Ericsson is also a leading contender with the backing of a Swedish global company.
Jaime Alguersuari and Paul di Resta have also been connected with Caterham. I really hope Alguersuari gets the seat 'cause di Resta doesn't belong in F1.
Reading the Swedish newspapers it seems Elgh got Ericsson a pit pass through Caterham in Brasil because of old friends that are now running Caterham.
So while Ericsson is walking around in the pits, someone noticed it was issued by Caterham(or something along those lines) and then started to put the (false) puzzle together and the rumor was created.
Another theory is Eje is playing his cards very very safely.

there was an individual in red overalls wandering around the caterham factory last night. he brought the usual bag of goodies to try and secure a drive for 2014, and asked that his pet be given a pit pass, just like roscoe.
he had a seat fitting and found that the tub was too narrow for his girth, and caterham could not afford to build a wider tub. he was also concerned about the latest batch of Pirellis, and suggested that the car might go faster if it was on skids instead.
what was his name?
well, on his racing overalls, it was possible to just make out the name s.claus.
happy Christmas. hohoho

Not really "Silly Season" as such, but wasn't sure where to post it otherwise and didn't think it warranted its own thread...but has there been any news about which drivers have chosen which numbers?
A part of me would love it if Button or Hamilton went for "22" as it was the number they each had when they won their WDC. That said, I'd also like one of them to take "5" because (as a Mansell fan back in the day) I'd like to see a return of "red 5" for an English driver..!!
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren
Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻♂️
A world champion like Hamilton wouldn't want to be the return of another.
He will pick something that's more personal to him I think maybe who knows maybe he does but I think he won't. He will pick something he can sell as a brand. The number can be such a big part of their imagine if they use it right. Hamilton and Button both are smart men I'm sure their numbers will have something to do with their marketing image..
I don't think Hamilton or Button are draft enough to use Red 5, after all Hamilton gets bashed for the Senna idolising as it is (yet Raikkonen gets way with his Hunt loving?)
Imaging the abuse the so called fans would be giving if Hamilton used Mansell's number?
Exactly why he won't use Red 5 if anything he might use a number significant to Senna....... Completely forgetting their is an actual driver who's last name Is Senna.....
Just had a super ridiculous idea hence asking in this thread, is it possible / legal to have the central f-duct rear wing tube running in front of the exhaust in order to blow hot gases into the tube thus blowing the top / bottom part of the rear wing?

If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.
