Here are some thoughts about McLaren's 2014 title sponsorship:
Are McLaren without a 2014 title sponsor?
interesting. they could very well stay that way throughout 2014. Would be interesting if they'd go orange all year, or completely chrome all year. thanks for the link!lio007 wrote:Here are some thoughts about McLaren's 2014 title sponsorship:

Pics or it didn't happen.Martin Whitmarsh is traipsing around the world in pursuit of Fernando Alonso – brandishing contracts akin to love letters – like some stricken teenage girl.
This is e.g. one article I found, but there are many more: http://grandprix247.com/2013/12/03/whit ... e-fiction/Gridlock wrote:Pics or it didn't happen.Martin Whitmarsh is traipsing around the world in pursuit of Fernando Alonso – brandishing contracts akin to love letters – like some stricken teenage girl.
That's a weak argument or rather wishful thinking. For every driver X to team Y rumour that turned out to be true there are five that did not. KR to Ferrari didn't drag that long anyway, it started with management's announcement about the end of negotiations with RB (this one did drag on) and final decision was made around the time of ending Hulkenberg's two months negotiations with a text message .munudeges wrote:I think we should all have learned over the years that in Formula 1 where there is a lot of smoke there is generally a fire.
The whole Raikkonen to Ferrari thing (the first time) dragged on for ages with denials all round from every party until someone had to ask him what that Enzo was doing in his garage. Even when Alonso was at McLaren it was well known he'd end up at Ferrari at some point. Ditto the Vettel rumours.
How about you read what was written for starters?iotar__ wrote:KR to Ferrari didn't drag that long anyway, it started with management's announcement about the end of negotiations with RB (this one did drag on)....
There were denials all round from Ferrari, McLaren and Raikkonen and his people himself until the Enzo was spotted in his garage and it transpired he had signed in mid-2005. Even at that stage everyone knew that Alonso would end up at Ferrari once Jean Todt had left, because he didn't like him.munudeges wrote:The whole Raikkonen to Ferrari thing (the first time) dragged on for ages...
Who made this claim?munudeges wrote:It's very well known that the Alonso/Ferrari honeymoon as it was is over.
