The trouble with the rat-race is that even if you win, you're still a rat.

Hot off the press autotesting video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kIaYYVXJ6c unfortunetly I couldn't compete in this one, but it meant I could get plenty of vids of the event. Its my first attempt at making a film (as opposed to single clips) so show some sympathy.

Can't remember if I've already posted this, but I found this stunning CAD video, to the tune of 'the Chain' by Fleetwood Mac

Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

Nothing to do with F1, but ...

there's one less Ferrari Enzo as actor Eddie Griffin was practicing for a charity event/ movie promo and crashed the thing to a concrete barrier. The movie in question? Something called "Redline", "... an auto/action thriller that features the personal exotic car collection of the producer, real estate investor Daniel Sadek. Sadek who is financing the $26 million movie used his own cars including a Phantom Rolls Royce, Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari F430, Ferrari Scaglietti and two Mercedes SLR McLarens. Sadek's $450,000 Porsche Carrera GT is actually crashed during one sequence."

Apparently that just wasn't enough punishment for his collection of rare cars. Some people just have no respect for passionate engineering. I think I would've volunteered to try and do the Porsche crash in CGI for the movie had Mr. Sadek in turn handed the keys for the intact Carrera GT to me on satisfactory completion of the scene (Not a CGI pro, but I sure would've tried!). Oh well. I think this is one movie I don't need to see.

The movie tagline? - "Fear Nothing. Risk Everything."

it looks to me that the enzo can possible be repaired, dont you agree ? as its only front end damage, as far as we can see on the video

very sad though, people who just waste such amazing cars shouldnt have the right to purchase them, especially such a rare and valuable one as the enzo

reparing a sports car like enzo isn't so easy and cheap...that crash is total...if you make a little dammage to an enzo chassis the whole chassis fails and it has to be changed completly..not a cheap thing to do..as same as you make a new car..
