2014-2020 Formula One 1.6l V6 turbo engine formula

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

At least they confirm that the MGU-H will indeed be used to controll the boost pressure. And a wastegate is present for security reasons. So that discussion can be laid to rest.

Points down towards the sidepod where the intercooler will be.

And interesting exhaust solution. Single inlet turbo is surprising to me. And the MGU-H is between the turbine and the compressor.

It's the same 3D they showed us last year !? they just added the pipes and a different admission plenum and an ES.
How is the compressor fed?

That would make the sidepods higher than the drivers head at the back if the car. Can't see that happening

I dont think so. Anyway, dont focus on the dimensions, that's a rough photoshop, focus on the angles : P
Ferrari is rumored to have almost vertical pipes.

Newey and Renault disagree apparently.

: fold them completely to the intake manifold, maybe that s the Ferrari solution...
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

I think we wont see any 2014 car with those kind of exhaust.

:?:

your type? or the mega overhead exhaust manifold the Ferrari sketch and Ferrari Scarbs dream sketch show (or do you mean your pshop is that?)...

I think the low and rel. wide Renault type of exhaust manifold is tailored for RB and all other have to live with it.

I mean the exhausts Renault are showing us since the beginning...
Maybe they are an early basic version Renault used in the bench and just covered them with CF because they are ugly : P

The Merc ? me too. in their early render, the compressor was directly connected to the inlet box...
