McLaren MP4-29 Mercedes

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

i think i see what you mean, just under the nose?

i think theres more going on with the front wing that you can see. the black makes it hard to make out.

No just on the inside of the wheels. It´s even highlighted in yellow.

Since atleast 2009, many F1 cars have those kind of vanes inside the front wheels and the Maclarens too. Nothing new.

Anyway, that's last years rear wing right? Looks identical and too deep to be 2014 spec.

Horrible nose. there is something cool about it though.
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.

Guys, there must be NO connection between any suspension member and wing. Full stop.

I haven't seen any hi-res overhead photo, so can't comment on this although it also appears to me that rear wing is mounted to the upper rear wishbone, but Racecar Engineering suggests something different:
Racecar Engineering wrote:Whilst it looks the rear wing is mounted to the wishbone directly that is an optical illusion, the wing is supported by a central pillar mounted onto an interesting semi circular feature above the transmission.

What's the reason for rear vent outlet to be so back over the exhaust? And why does it appear to be split?
