Torro Rosso uses the exhaust?? What is it? Why they use this config?

Probably to create a vortex for diffusor sealing. Less effective than last year (because hot air from exhaust is missing), but better than nothing.

"Comparison" between Ferrari and Torro Rosso. F14T looks like a fat lady.

Thats a terrible comparison, because on the toro rosso the photo was with some sort of fish eye lens, while the ferrari its a normal perspective. Look at the Wingplates angle.

The lens is playing trick with ya mate. Look at how the tyres bend inwards at the Torro Rosso.

no its not irrelevant. look at the mirrors. can't compare different perspectives.

LOL, just look at the cooling outlets above the diffusor. No matter what lens is used. That Ferrari is quite a fatty. The only part where the Ferrari back is slimmer is the engine cover hump above the "beam wing".

Draw a line between the top of the rear tires in each car and tell me how mugh bodywork it is intercepting. They just placed their bulk in different places. And that's before the lens effect.

if you'd fishlens that ferrari's backside the sidepods would fit between the rear wing endplates and so the overall thickness would look narrower.

And you can see the top of the engine cover on the str photo.

The top of the engine cover on the ferrari is blocked by the top of the wing.

Also look hot fat the str engine cover is. It's give and take. The removed some cooling from the side pods and added it to the air box.
