Not a technical question but valid I think. Are the McLaren team making a great effort to hide the rear suspension when the car stops, in other words are all the pictures when it's running?

I think they said that it's not worth hiding it since either way the photographers will find a way to take a photo of it.

I was thinking about that too. Dragonfly suspension is fitting better.

IMO, this is not correct. I believe they are just large rounded square in profile.

I thought so at first too, but if you look at the top left one, you can see that it isn't a square. hard to tell from these pics for sure, but people who have seen it in person have probably gotten good angles on it.

I think they are mushroom shaped as the post suggests but in the photo where they appear to be square they have a sensor array bolted to them to measure the oncoming air making the square. I feel this is evidenced by the fact that in the square configuration there is something visibly bolted to them which would make that illegal because they must be one piece under the regulations.

Even though its just testing I'm pretty upbeat about him being the fastest so far

"I've been watching out on the track and it's fascinating. New boy Kevin Magnussen has taken over from Jenson Button in the McLaren and he looks very impressive indeed, like he's been doing it for years. It's hard to draw any conclusions about how the various cars behave because the drivers are really not pushing to the limit yet. From what I've seen so far, the Ferrari back end appears a little loose, which is not ideal in cars with so much torque. The Mercedes has a really good change of direction through the final chicane. The McLaren looks a little lazier but then it seems very stable in the fast corners. But of course none of these cars are in anything like the spec they will be by the first race.

It's beautiful, from what we've seen until now pretty reliable and has decent base Speed. Can't ask for more after 3 Days of testing. ^^

Someone drive to Jerez and grad one of these rear Wishbones, we need to know the Shape.
