Button targets Ferrari

Post

Jenson Button is expecting to push Ferrari harder than ever at next weekend's Spanish Grand Prix.
The BAR driver believes he will be stronger than at the San Marino race, where he led from pole for nine laps before Michael Schumacher passed him.

Button said: "I am confident we should be very competitive in Spain and, hopefully, even closer to the red cars.

..........You have all my support Jenson

That could depend on both the teams' rate of developement. If BAR could continue like this,I'm not surprised to see that they are the last team challenging Ferrari in 04.

I'm thinking its the Michelins more than anything else on the car. They need to last longer. If Button was on a relativlely light fuel load, and with the Bridgestones not under perfect operating conditions, BAR easily took to the lead and created quite a huge margin. The Michael started closing the gap. So I think Michelin needs a tire that warms up fast and lasts a long time, but then everybody else needs one too.

All in all I think the Michelins need work, if not the car.

with BAR currently the top dog of the michelin runners ,I firmly believe the Tyre is very very good but Mclaren and BAR are well underperforming.
Looking at Sauber and their relative performance to last year they are basically where they were, but now they are fighting with the Macs...
And Williams are basically slower than BAR on the same tyre supplier ,nuff said. What about budgets and Manpower? Williams has got to answer that question when they look at the BAR camp....
