I doubt if that's with much less than 30% fuel on board! even though it was only 5 laps. At least it's up there at the top of the timing chart it seems a different car in Kevin hands compared to when the old man's in it! And hopefully we won't have quotes about how behind or slow they are tonight because even if it's true just get on with it Jenson.
You have a +1 from me for the quote about Jenson always complaining :D

I think you need to chill out. Take into consideration comments on conditions there. They won't be going for qualy sims anytime soon, only learning about the tyre and getting data. They have already been 2 seconds quicker in the pervious test.

What's up at Lotus actually? Don't hear much about them.
Thank you really doesn't really describe enough what I feel. - Vettel

Comments from AMUS about Magnussen's 16 lap stint on soft tyres: " Magnussen has just finished a 16-lap stint on soft tires. The lap times very consistent, but not particularly fast between 1:44.1 and 1:45.2 min "
We don't know the fuel load, but 16 laps between 1:44:1 and 1:45:2 is really strong.

It's consistent but really slow.

Consistent.

It is important now.

Speed in the stint is influenced by fuel load. Make a graph (laptimes x laps) and evaluate the angle. Less angle is better.
To do something well is so worthwhile that to die trying to do it better cannot be foolhardy. It would be a waste of life to do nothing with one's ability, for I feel that life is measured in achievement, not in years alone. ― Bruce McLaren

I know track conditions are not good at all today, but yet : last week, Rosberg started his first stint with a 1:39 and ended up with a 1:42,5. I can't believe the track is 3 seconds slower !

Merc has already grabbed enough headlines as the team to beat this season, what they need to do now is to manage expectation and then turn up at Melbourne will a bang.

Kimi's 1:35, was that still part of his race sim? How many laps had he done on these tyres by the time he got to that lap?
