Red Bull RB10 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I think it allows the upper 3 elements on the outer side of the wing to flex downwards on high speeds and it comes up again on low speed. Per default the outer part is set up a bit higher (adjustable by the 2 screws i suppose) to support low speed front downforce. Nice stuff!

I think you are on the right trace:
The aluminum flat bar does not look flexible at all. If I wanted something not to flex this is what I would use. On its step there may be a joint as the lower part is wider. So this thing is just a support.
On the other hand there is no visible connection at the slot with the yellow circles. So I think the upper, green connected part flexes in two steps and the round "hooks" on the side control the flex.
This would also include the front wing adjustment: The screw just controls the prestressing of the two, round "hooks".

any pics of RB's (Vettels) flow-viz-run in FP2? A lot of the rear end was painted with it...

I have never seen the Redbull run big rake without performing really well. Renault engine or not I would say the redbull will be super fast tomorrow.

The rake may be exaggerated by the angle of that photo. Also, the car appears to be braking.

It's almost lifting the rear left wheel, looks like, plus the deformation in the FR, so not really a useful rake shot.

Edit - well, I guess it is in a way, because there's no arguing that under cornering conditions that would be an 'available' rake.

The rake is exaggerated by the undulation of the track. In that place it drops rather steeply.

See what I mean... When redbull run rake, they run upfront.

Best Chassis on the grid. As soon as the engine / ERS is fully up to specification this car is going to be very quick indeed.
