Here are a couple of renders of the BSR002 for the Khasmin Virtual Racecar Challenge. Not sure yet how it performed, but the initial numbers look good (likely due to the front wing which doesn't look like it was built from a few sheets of plywood). Much happier with some bits of it than the first race. BTW,getting the right Sketchup plugins are key (Curviloft is my new best friend).
The main bits are of course the front wing, nose and side-pods. I went with a simple low, wide nose. I've kept the pods high to keep the floor clear. The front wing is a fairly simple idea from something a lot of F1 teams have been using lately (and no longer just bend plywood...really would rather nobody saw my original). I used a fairly narrow, tall air-box as it looks old-school and I like it that way.
I'm new to rendering, but I think it gets the idea across. Feel free to marvel in its orangeness.
I'll try to render some with a few details, like a car number and some sponsorship.
