He said that he had problems with PU output, low on power on the straights. Sky interview.

Bottas is also on the dirty side, and Ricciardo will be outdragged.
Ric starts p13.
You are absolutely correct, brain failure on my part, sorry.

The Race is already looking more promising, HAM will not settle for 2nd, young guns (BOT & PER) right behind the Mercs, vets(RAI, BUT, MAS, ALO) battling behind them, VET, RIC & HUL trying to make up positions from further back than they should be. Hopefully we get to see a lot of clean hard racing throughout the field.

My money is on Bottas overtaking one Merc at the start of the race.

It would be better to watch them battle side by side for the whole race.

It feels like because Lewis will probably be behind Rosberg at the start we might see more of a battle.

This will also hopefully stop sky having a Hamilton love in, pre qualifying was almost like Merc only had the one driver.

With the kind of advantage Merc has over the rest of the field, I doubt Bottas will be able to hold on to that advantage for more than 3 laps unless one of the merc hit into technical issues.

Between the merc drivers, whoever crosses the first corner will most likely to win the race

Why? The second driver can save fuel(slipstream and lift and coast) until the end of the race and then pour on the fuel at the end and pass. It wasn't the case last week but it could happen. Of course there is always the option of the dreaded team orders

lol ahm, no. Hamilton will jump nico at the start and then drive away from him while everyone else behind them will be too busy saving fuel and tires to perform any kind of racing.

Is there any news on Alonso's engine? Can they fix it for the race or shall they substitute it (with grid penality)?
