Barcelona track for LapSim

Hi!

If anybody is looking for some tracks for LapSim I just made Barcelona 2003 track based on GTR2 game simulation.It is only track layout.

I'm sure they will be happy to have yours. They seem to have forums for a lot of racing simulations, but I did not find LapSim among them.

Do you have any data for elevation at that track? I think you don't, or I don't understand what you mean by only track layout. I don't know how to extract that information from your file...

Lapsim is more like vehicle setup simulation software right as opposed to a game right....?

Racer Sim Central is a blend between simulation and gaming.

I love Racer Free Car Simulation. It is a game, but solidly based on physics of racing. The polygons the tracks are made of are good enough to reproduce lap times to within a second or two. I quote myself:

If you are really, really hooked, there is a track editor (tracked.exe), a complete modeler (modeler.exe) to import 3DO or other files, a GPL exporter (GPLex), a spline generator (curved.exe) and a joystick/pedals/steering wheel editor (joystimm.exe). In general, what I like about this game is that you can edit ANYTHING and the physics package is open source and based on the Millikens textbook.

They had this crazy idea about taking the GPS data from the cars racing and allow you to race against Alonso and Räikkonen, real time!

I think FIA is working on that: the guy that invented Racer says they have already patented the idea...

this software is pretty cool.

any idea where we can get some other track downloads?

i would love to run some simulation prior to all the other GP this year to see how close the software comes from what I simulate.
