hello guys,
i need please to know how is the cockpit attached to the floor and where exactly ? is it under the seat of the driver ?
and by what is it attached ?
if you can provide with pictures it will be great
The cockpit isn't really bonded directly to the floor in many ways. The cockpit, nose, engine, and gearbox together form the chassis. The floor is attached along the length of the plank to the engine and the base of the cockpit. The bulk of the attachment is really into the engine, with the T-tray being held up by the stay in front of the driver's bum.firasf1dream wrote:hello guys,

Under the driver's legs there's only the bottom of the cockpit, some air, and then the T-tray. That's it.firasf1dream wrote:aha ok so cockpit back to engine > engine to floor > and the floot to the T traybeelsebob wrote:The cockpit isn't really bonded directly to the floor in many ways. but what about under the seat of the driver between his legs in isn't there some sort of connection too ?
The cockpit is known as the "tub". It's a the safety cell that encloses the driver and fuel tank. To the back of the tub is bolted the powertrain. The tub and drivetrain are loadbearing and directly carry the suspension loads and most of the aero loads too (front and rear wings).firasf1dream wrote:hello guys,
