Hi! My first topic on this site. 4 weeks are too long to wait for F1 and while i was all bored i decided to rebuild our old lawn mower. Here is one picture, so you can see what's what and if you are interested i can post other pictures of rebuild.

ah ..early lotus design .open moncoque chassis -a true classic .I wonder if that´s the chassis Mario Andretti was complaining about with torsional stiffness issues....
But then i did not remember lotus built their own version of a "fan"vehicle to create downforce....is this preskirt or brush sealed and coul it be converted to sliding skirt?

Ah its the lotus 49 with the high rear wing fixed directly to suspension but with JPS colours! My mind has just boggled!

It's a fake: Lotus never ran a fan to suck the car on the ground. The ground effect shape nearly fooled me though.

Looks like rain you will have to fit intermediate tyres.
Hang on....... if you rounded the edges off a bit and removed the wheels wouldnt it work in ground effect?
It would go faster but might not corner very well.
You would then have to call it a Caterham
