Jenson is completely unable to develop a racing car, his record at Williams, Honda and Brawn show he can drive a car that is set up perfectly but fails to provide the correct feedback to allow the team to upgrade the car during a season.
Does anybody know if he has a contract to drive for McLaren next year?
I think his contract ends this year. I might be wrong.
You're not. And I'm sure it's his final year at McLaren.

Jenson's job is drive a race car and deliver points,NOT develop it. He provides feedback for others develop, and I believe whenever it has been questioned we have heard nothing by praise regarding his feedback.

It's amazing, whenever asked the question Jenson is always able to respond. He's had a lot of doubters, so he went up against Lewis and arguably came out a lot stronger than when he went in (even with a title!!). He then got put up against Perez who a lot considered a star of the future, he beat him. Now is up against a driver who many consider to be a huge potential star and yet Jenson once again is showing his invaluable worth.

Can you, from now on, give us a warning when you are linking to a pay-wall site? Thanks.

Unfortunately McLaren are the victim of Mercedes Benz's rise to F1...
Mercedes will not be giving McLaren the same technical support and upgrades they was once exclusive beneficiaries of... and to be fair to Mercedes- why would they knowing they are switching to Honda in 2015.

Ultimately this whole issue boils down to McLaren's aim of becoming a sports car rival to Ferrari and Mercedes. Ever since McLaren had an idea of going it alone... so did Mercedes.

I am not saying the engine is the only reason McLaren is doing so rubbish at the moment.. I would imagine a lot of it is down to the "Mushroom" suspension they appear to have built the car around. We see it so often with McLaren, year after year... they spend all their time and resources on a gimmick which ultimately brings them little in performance and wastes much time and resources.

McLaren need to write this season off and hope they can at least be fighting for podiums in 2015.

While I don't completely agree with all your post, I do believe McLaren should take a serious look at shifting focus to 2015 earlier than normal, especially with Honda coming on board and a possible earlier test with there engines in november that will take a lot of planning and important to McLaren hitting the ground running in 2015 season. It will also be interesting to see what happen's with regard to a top driver, as clearly Button is not going to get any better.

What?
Can you post a tag, something like; [paywall], when you post a link that redirects towards a paywall site like autosport.com. Thank you in advance.

For some there is...
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

There's a pay wall on autosport no matter what browser you use. That's their business model. It just happens that they give you a few free page views every month.
