A funny thing somebody said that if a car looks beautifull it's usually a good car. The first nose wasn't that bad, but the hideous nose they have now is probably the reason they are lacking front downforce. Jenson has mentioned this at least two times during weekends.
To me the new nose doesn't really look very aero efficient. It looks like it produces the targeted downforce levels in a straight line but, i question its efficiency during cornering.
To be honest, they weren't that fast at Melbourne either. Them finishing second and third was down to misfortune and mistakes from other drivers. If Lewis hadn't had that engine problem, he would have finished ahead of the Mclarens, which would have put them down to third and fourth. If Bottas hadn't hit the wall, he would have been infront of them, so we are now down to fourth and fifth. Looking at how fast Williams were at Melbourne, I am sure that Massa would be in front of them easily, if he hadn't been taken out of the race in the first corner. Massa and Bottas started from P9 and P10 and Bottas was flying. So we are down to fifth and sixth. Put Ricciardo in the mix and (maybe) they are suddenly sixth and seventh. I know it all ifs, but the speed just wasn't there.
