Very happy to see Nissan back in prototype racing. Porsche in 2014 and Nissan in 2015, who's next ?

They're calling it a GT-R, so maybe it will have GT-R headlights, tail lights and a GT-R grill?
Possible something like the late 90's GT1 cars attempting to look like road cars.

I don't know but probably unfortunately WEC is too expensive for Mazda and Honda is going to be stuck with McLaren in F-1 for a while. I would put a dime on a BMW LMP1 return for 2016.

Yea. Too bad that thing has terrible performance. It can barely keep up with the GTLM field.

What are the budgets nowadays for AUDI, Toyota and Porsche? Is LMP1 much cheaper then F1?

Actually at the last race they were pretty close to the pace and for the first time they were clearly faster than all the lower categories.

Too bad Strakka and Dome have now dropped out of Le Mans too.

100 Million for Porsche and Audi is figure being talked about.

Yep. I was so hoping seeing that car. Apparently Dome doesn't have enough spares yet to repair to the car in time. But atleast we're going to see the new Ligier.

So, are you on r/WEC, Mulsanne Corner or the Collective? :D

To expand on the Honda/McLaren story: apparently they are looking at doing the same thing as Ferrari, i.e. they will enter LMP1 once the new rules are in effect in 2017. It is widely speculated/expected that the new cars will have production based looks. According to Hindy on this week's Midweek Motorsport, several OEMs are interested in entering but are saying that they need something that looks similar to what they sell.

Oh and it is claimed that Cosworth is building an engine for Nissan's LMP1 effort and that it's a V6 that's on the dyno already.
