Chill. That's Pictures from Wednesday, that could easily just be Spare Parts. They even have the Monaco exclusive Johnnie Walker Stickers still on the Front Wing.

They will bring new Parts. Will they all be visible? I very much doubt it. We will see on Saturday.

I doubt there will be any major new parts for Canada. Will make much more sense to roll big changes out at Silverstone as there is a test session afterwards and much lower transport overheads.

As posted on Page 56, Part 1 of the Major Upgrade Package will be in Austria, Part 2 in Silverstone. (Hopefully a pretty new shiny Nose ^^)

EB says:
"McLaren racing director Eric Boullier admits that it is unlikely that the Woking team will be able to evaluate the ongoing development of its MP4-29 at this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix"

All you need in Canada is strong PU, good traction and suspension that rides the curbs well with good bracking.

That means weak PU !!!!

Not really.. it could mean anything, but if you would put this on the PU it could mean the unit is to powerful for a fair comparison.. but again, it could mean anything

Motorsport.com ran this article"
"Germany's Bild newspaper said the reigning world champion team is alleged to have tested indoors at the Austrian company AVL's 'rolling road' facility in Graz"

RB says:
"Jun.6 (GMM) Red Bull says a test on a 'rolling road' facility would not be illegal"

We should do this with Honda.

What??? He said that they can't evaluate development, not that the car will be slow.

We should do???

Well, obviously the best thing to do is to have a chassis on the dyno as soon as possible as Merc did. But the question is how soon can McLaren supply a 2015 spec chassis? How soon can Honda put the whole package on the dyno? We have to remember, that Renault managed to put everything together on the dyno just before the track tests started...one should not be too optimistic with Honda's schedule.

No. It means that if there are no fast corners you can not evaluate your development in fast corners which is the problem of the MP4-29. There is not a single +160km/h corner in Canada. Even more stop-and-go than in Australia.
The MP4-29 is good in traction, but it has its issues with roll stability. I am not sure if it will profit from its traction and will be good like in Australia or if it has problems when hitting the curbs like in Monaco...

According to the Autosport portuguese version, there are not good news for Mclaren and Honda. Honda engineers were present at Monaco Grand Prix and are worried about the development progress of the Mclaren car and it is said that he even offered Honda engineers to help design next year car. Ron Dennis refused the offer and has angered Honda officials.
From Tochigi there are further bad news. The V6 Honda engine is nowhere in performance compared the current engine makers and on the dyno they have serious reliability problems. It is suggested that for Honda will be almost impossible to achieve a decent performance level with their engine package at the start of the next season. It is not as was said that they have an extra year of development compared to the others beeing on the same level of development, but their engine program is far behind compared to the others, and they can achieve the level of performance at where the others were in 2014, because on the engine itsfelf for F1 they started much later than Mercedes for example.

So Honda is late with development but they can share engineers to Mclaren?!

Please do not post such ''make up'' stories here. Thank you in advance.

You people act like Autosport is a poor source. Also, based on Honda's last f1 engine and current lack of turbo experience(not to mention the fact that Mclaren seems to have forgotten how to build an f1 car), I never understood why people think they'll come in and dominate. I don't know that its even technologically possible at the moment to go much better than the Merc engine without a government backed budget.

Edit: I guess this is some knock off and not the "real" Autosport.
