I think the ferrari has severely compromised intake runners with that big old intercooler between the banks. Not to mention the air has to take a u-turn then a 90 degree turn in another axis. They must have alot of guide vanes inside that thing!

Heavy and not worth it IMO coz their sidepods are still larger than Mercedes in most areas.
I think he was just saying that it was an equally good idea and that if you looked at both ideas early on....they both had thier merits. He also suggest that the Ferrari is behind in development but he beleives the design has promise.

Apparently Ferrari gets turbos from Honeywell:

http://honeywell.com/News/Pages/Honeywe ... ula-1.aspx

Now, the date of that post is March 5th 2014. I am not sure if Honeywell is going to be the new supplier. Maybe they posted that info so late just to avoid to have people know who was actually supplying the turbo.

At last! Those sort of posts do more harm to the site .

Looks like something's different here on the front upper suspension member. What is that? Anything? Ok, so when I compare the Canada pic vs. the Spain pic posted above it looks to like the new suspension member for Canada has a joint in the middle with one half sliding inside the other. Is that possible? What might be the benefit? Am I just way over-reaching here in my desire to see new and innovative ideas from the Scuderia???

The brake ducts look slightly smaller to me. Maybe it's a perspective thing?

I think the swan-neck RW and generally that update from Spain was a failure and now they reverted back. Didn't ALO said that some updates weren't delivering? http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/114266
A thing that they didn't do in the past seasons when and update didn't work because they were to proud..? MAS talked about not working updates in the past at Ferrari...http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/113830
But I think they learned now, better lose face (not that I think that it is like that) than become slower..

Looks like the large shrouds are missing. If you look back to pictures from the previous GP, and look carefully you can see that inside the large shroud there is a smaller one such as is shown in the photo here which divides the air-stream and funnels it to various locations in the wheel hub/brakes.
