Large Jacks in Paddock

Post

Who makes the air jacks (or hydraulic jacks?) that many teams use to lift up their cars in the paddock?

I'm referring to jacks that get the car several feet off the ground - not the quick-jacks that are used to change tires.

Thanks!
Jon

There are no such jacks. The cars are lifted onto stilts, which generally attach at various chassis mounting points (e.g. the front bulkhead mounting points for the nose cone.

Actually there are specially-made pneumatic jacklifts for the garage, used to lift the cars onto the stands and help with suspension setup, e.g. to move the chassis and check dynamic suspension position:-

Camozzi make them too. About £5000 each I think (or that might be for a pair). And that's probably the cheap, generic type. Specialised ones are probably 10 times that!
