I still can´t get over just how UGLY the 09 front wings were But it´s very cool to see how they have become more and more geometrically advanced.

+1 from me for this comparison.
My first impression is: old wings are simple and somewhat ugly, but the noses are cool. It's the opposite today in 2014. Less small aero aids, such as vortex generators, vanes, winglets in older cars, as opposed to the newer ones, some of which look as if they have lost weight today. Some of the old cars do look as if they are built from Lego.

What strikes me is that you can still see the DNA of each team's '09 contender in their current car. It's really evident when comparing sidepod profiles.

The Williams looks most faithful to the original. Probably the best looking lineage, which isn't really saying a lot.

the Merc seems to resemble the Brawn guite a lot.
Also the Williams looks as they have taken the 09 nose and elongated it.

The 2008 cars were the last of the go-kart F1 cars.

Now we're stuck with preferred wind tunnel vehicles.
