Yea it seems skipping chicanes is perfectly fine, and if possible, you can also set the fastest lap on the very same lap.

Great race though!
There's always after race penalties...
Oh wait, it's FIARARI and Teflonso...
Right. Because Rosberg did no such thing in Canada.

I feel like the main straight needs to be extended by about 30 feet to get a lot more battles into the first corner.

Ricciardo showing he is the real deal..trully deserved to win, although I would have preffered Alonso to win..

And that is why we love Formula 1.

What a race...

It wouldn't make any difference, the final corner is too smooth and fast on the exit.

Considering how much time Rosberg lost in traffic including Hamilton and how much Hamilton wasted tyres keeping in front of him Mercedes presented nice second place to Alonso.
[Another present as if pitstops weren't enough- not touching Alonso, getting overtaken by Ricciardo despite DRS]

Bad call for Lewis given him primes on the last stop ... had they would've give him the options he could've survive till the end like Fernando did and most of all he could've got into the history with winning from the pit lane ... such a pity !

I mean in 10 laps he could've have a 20 sec. cushion with the option on and then for the last 20 laps just cruising!
Damn! Very, very bad strategist down there at Mercedes ... they thought it'll be like in Silverstone?
Or maybe was Lewis call, after all?

This is a good day for Pirelli as well. Now if only we could have races like this all the time then Briatore won't need to work on the popularity

Yup! Although then I guess Alonso would have done the same so we may have had a different situation.

All in all with rain, and two safety cars as a Lewis fan I am extremely satisfied with what Lewis did
Considering he started from PITLANE TO PODIUM....That is a record I guess

Didn't Vettel do it in Abu Dhabi a few years ago?
