In the case of Mika Hakkinen or Olivier Panis, for example, who entered F1 until 1994, I substitute him with another driver But, now I realized that the team position might be wrong, since I didn't reduce the team's points for each driver I substitute

Ok, cool, I thought you might have some software which calculates lap time based on power and downforce levels and hence calculates the position and points that the driver earns.

Galecio changed its main cigarrettes sopnsor, from Cohiba to West, in a deal that will last at least until 1996. Mika Hakkinen left to join Mclaren, so Martin Brundle was hired to replace him. Please ignore the UK flag in Brundle's car... it looks black.... :/

Hmmm, that British flag does look a bit black doesn't it? Try and smooth out the black lines using the eraser tool and holding down CTRL when clicking at the same time. This doesn't erase the lines, just smoothes them so you cant see them. Therefore you should have a fully visible flag

Well, the wave of horrible paintjobs of the 90s hit us... The whole painting works team has been fired after this seasons design... In

Thanks So this was the last year of our contract with West Cigarettes. We weren't able to make an extension since they wanted to join McLaren... Gitanes, Mild Seven, Belmont and Camel are keen to join the team as the main sponsors.

Finally, after so much time developing a new car, all the effort has been worth the pain: Olivier Panis won the 1997 FIA World Drivers Championship!!!!

This was great start for a multi-year deal with Belmont and Air France to be our main sponsors. At the same time, this was a goodbye to Renault, who announced they were going out of F1 at the end of the season. By August, the 5 year contract between Galecio and Peugeot as new engine suppliers was made official.

In the pre season, Jos Verstappen parted to Tyrrell, so young Fisichella was brought as the dutchman's replacement.

Really nice. Are your designs based on actual 1997 car liveries? Or do you make them up? They look really authentic and generic

You mean the design of the chassis or the livery? For the chassis design I take the blueprints of the top 5 teams that season and try to make the car a bit like each design. For example, for 98's car, I based on the Ferrari, Mclaren, Williams, Benetton and Jordan designs. If you meant the livery, well... It's all from my creativity

1998 - Belmont Galecio Peugeot Racing - GA13

After Renault retired from F1 last season, we found ourselves in a rush to get a new competitive engine provider to try to revalidate 1997's results. Thanks to the champions influence, we where able to sign a 2 year deal with Peugeot. Unfortunately, the result was not as we expected... On Australia, Fisichella qualified 9th and Panis 15th... and well, that sums the whole year. While Fisichella was fighting to get into the points, Panis was struggling to finish a the race... With 3 races to go in Monza, it was announced that Olivier Panis would no longer be driving for Galecio for the 1999 season. And that was the sad end of his 8 year relationship with the team, leaving 1 drivers championship, 1 constructors championship, 8 GP wins, 31 podium finishes and 11 pole positions behind. A week later, it was announced that Jacques Villeneuve had signed a contract that would join him to Galecio at least until the end of 2001 season.
