Master in Europe: ETHZ, EPFL, TUM, etc.

Post

Hi! I was looking forward to do a Master in Europe (I'm from Argentina).

Graduated with honors, and I have three publications (2 conference, 1 transaction) . As an electrical engineer, I want to do a Power Electronics and Energy master.

I think I(i.e. my parents) can afford them. So a scholarship is not strictly needed, but it wouldn't hurt at all.

At the moment the plan at ETHZ is the one I like the most, though I know it's really difficult to be admitted in ETH.

What are your regards about EPFL, TUM(munich), RWTH Aachen, Eindhoven TU/E?

Any information is welcomed.

Bye!

Hi Caito,

I can say a bit to TUM and RWTH Aachen. For your field I can suggest both. I know the RWTH is very innovative in the Power Electronics field because of work they've done with my current employer (I'll pm you with a bit more info). I can imagine that Siemens will be working with TUM, but more along the lines of energy generation - they have their own test nuclear reactor. It all depends on which direction you'd like to go - power control (i.e. network grids), I'd lean toward Aachen (which is pretty close to the Michael Schumacher Kart Center).

I hope some else can add a bit for the others.

Good luck!
