Well sports fans,( & reportedly only 42,000 were at the track) - after a subdued qualifying & sluggish start,
M. Marquez rode a very measured race, to pass Rossi for 2nd place at Motegi (behind Lorenzo)
& so, has won his 2nd consecutive World Championship.. Good effort that man..
Pedrosa & Rossi are now equal 2nd in points & have 1 win each, so can keep contesting best also ran status..

Dani & Vale are equal on points but Lorenzo is only 3 behind with 3 races to go. There will be blood for second.
Congrats to M&M for his second title. Be interesting to see whether he manages to equal or beat Doohan's 12 wins in one season. Even then i think Doohan's season was more impressive, apart from 12 wins he finished second twice and crashed out of one, ironically from the race at home in Oz in Phillip İsland.
On a side note, i think the Suzi in metallic blue looks fantastic. I hope they race that livery next season.

Marky is on pole at Phillip Is. (12th pole this year, good effort M.M.) from Jorge & Crutchlow (& well done Cal)..
Rossi & Pedrosa are down the grid some, so Jorge has a chance to put some points on them..

Phillip Is. & Moto 2 ( anodyne 600/4 Honda formula).. Rabat just made quickest ever Moto 2 qualifying lap..
..& is still slower than quickest pursang 250 G.P. 2T lap.. ..from 2008..
