Vettel took a gamble to pit, if the race was restarted with 7 laps to go, he would have had a very good chance on new tyres. He probably called it. So Red Bull haven't screwed him

And you know this for sure.
Because this season the RB strategy didn't always favour Ricciardo, no matter the track position.

Obviously. With cars in the wall there was going to be a SC with 7 laps to go and rain getting stronger, everyone and his dog would have stayed away from pitting, for new intermediates on top of it. If they thought there was a chance after SC, should have went for full wets.

I dearly hope he's just a bit shaken up and not seriously injured. But to be honest it doesn't look good... .
