Lotus E22 Renault

Giorgio Piola says there are suspicions in the paddock that the single pylon support of the E22 has "Programmed Deformation"

So that single pylon is what holds the whole rear wing up??
Nothing holding the endplates in place at the floor etc?

I may be wrong but it looks to me like it is also attached by endplates to the floor

Thanks, would have needed some insane strengthening to not have the endplates just flap around in the wind with only one single support.

According to AMUS Lotus will test a copy of the Merc nose this weekend. The nose is already 2015 design.

That's a pretty big investment since although the nose does not need to be technically legal to run in FP, it does need to pass the crashtest. That for a nose that probably will not fit on the 2015 car anyway.

None the less, I'm looking forward to it.

But the Merc nose will not be legal in 2015. The first version of the W05 might have a legal lengh but it is too wide...

I think they mean the Merc/Ferrari nose as in its concept. Your own post with the photoshopped version showed that the concept is legal.
