To get interior design as Vettel is abit taller than AlonsoXwang wrote:What is the meaning of this test? Is it to compare Vettel's needs against Alonso's ones in order of drivability using a car not subjected to test limits?
Because he is taller maybe?nacho wrote:Yeah he looks to be a bit higher in that car than Alonso. Maybe he's testing it just because he wants.
I would think he is more likely to be thinking how on earth Alonso failed to win the title in that car.alexx_88 wrote:He'll probably compare it to the 2012 RB and think to himself: "if Alonso nearly snatched the title with this sh***y car, how bad must the F14T must have been?"
Obviously this is tongue in cheek, but seriously, is it reasonable to think that, given the test conditions, he can compare it with the RB8?
Simply to meet and assimilate into the team. There is not going to be anything meaningful learned in a 2012 car.Xwang wrote:What is the meaning of this test? Is it to compare Vettel's needs against Alonso's ones in order of drivability using a car not subjected to test limits?
He has to, its in his Ferrari contract. ALO had to change from Arai to Schuberth in 2010, and he will change back in 2015 when he drives a Mclaren. BUT had to change from Bell to Arai in 2010 at McLaren. It will be the first non Red Bull liveried helmet that VET has not has since the age of 14 or something like that. Im looking forward to his helmet design.stefan_ wrote:Will be interesting to see if Sebastian will switch to Schuberth helmets.
As far as I know, if a driver stays for more than 4 years under contract with Red Bull (as in RB pays for their competition entries), they are obliged to wear the RB marks even if they no longer have a contract.ESPImperium wrote:It will be the first non Red Bull liveried helmet that VET has not has since the age of 14 or something like that. Forgive me for asking this, but is Kimi also wearing Schuberth helmets? I thought he was wearing Bell helmets even at Ferrari. So he had to change it too? And another question about Schuberth: MSC wasn't the first driver to wear Schuberth helmets, was he? If not, was it Nick Heidfeld by any chance?ESPImperium wrote:He has to, its in his Ferrari contract.
