Dear members,
I'm new to this forum and I love every bit of info in it and I thank you for sharing it.
For my master's I am developing a tubular space frame chassi for a race team. My university let me use a Mitutoyo CMM to achieve more accurate measurements. To reduce cost and time the techician responsible for the machine extracted geometric shapes calculated by the machine's software insted of the usuals point clouds. I gathered mesurement data from the control A arms, uprights and ball joints from their first prototype. For example, for a cylinder shape, the software provides a center point and angles that determine the orientation of the cylinder axis. Someone knows how this orientation works? Euler Angles maybe? I can't figure it out and the thecnician didn't helped me. I can't find any info about this online.
