German news items reported it earlier last week. Not sure if true though.

However, a vacation could just as well be gardening leave.

Can't one of the top brass of Ferrari's F1 team take a little time out to go on vacation with his family? Everyone else is working flat out for 2015, so he probably isn't super necessary at this moment.

Maybe even do a little winter gardening at home. Who doesn't love doing that....

So much joy at Fry's probable departure. Yet he was seen as a messiah when he arrived . . . Will we be castigating his replacement this time next year?

No, tar- and feathering him shortly before he is stoned :)

I tried this and I had understeer, I tried that and I had oversteer, at the end of the corner I just run out of talent

Remember when Costa was the problem and they needed to get rid of him ASAP?

Remember some time after that, when the problem was Domenicalli, and they needed to sack him ASAP?

Marmorini? What a loser, to the lions with him!

Ahhhhh Montezemolo! Now without that old fox everything gonna be OK.

So the next cancer to get rid off to restore the long forgotten greatness of the Scudería is that dirty foreign Fry. Problem solved.

Yeah, right. Next is defrozing one more time poor old Byrne for a final miracle, as usual every year.

Bussines as usual.

Ferrari's (and their fans) desperate search for a scapegoat continues...

Not just technical staff or management, I've even seen people trying to blame Alonso for the handling problems

The real problem is Ferrari itself. Bloated, top heavy organisational structure. Far too many heads of departments all on equal standing and reporting only to the team principal. Who is then a non-technical person filling the technical director role. How can you build a good car that way?

Not giving people freedom to work, excessive micromanagement. And so impatient for results. Just look at Ross Brawn. One of the biggest players in Ferrari's revival from also-rans to challenging for every title between 1997 and 2004, taking 6 constructors and 5 drivers championships in a row. 2 bad seasons (one of them largely down to Bridgestone tires) and he's out. Forgetting that it is people who bring results, without them Ferrari is just a name.

Perhaps Montezemolo's departure will change this approach, but I'm not holding my breath.

Lovely!! Ive been asking for that for some time now. Ive said it already but he was in no way helping ferrari. He didnt add any value to the team at best he was a bumbling and unsure technical director; always covering his butt when things dont go according to plan.

sounds like you have never worked for an italian company ...get a non italian in to do a job under an italian boss , but don't let him make decisions , just blame him if things go wrong
