MS should still only have five titles because of the Hill incident. Hill was in great shape to pass MS and for obvious reasons MS had to go through desperate measures just to stop him.

A point that can be made about this incident is that if Montoya did try to take out MS, he probably learned from the master himself.

I think Mark Blundell put it best "Its kind of strange that JPM did not get hit from behind as well so that gives you a clue as to what was going on there!"

Not always, not often (hence why no one else did). You cannot put either driver at fault...hence why the FIA deems it a "racing incident", it happens simple as...Even if it was intentional (which I doubt), Michael wasn't by anymeans a saint in his days was he? Remember Jerez in 1997? Adelaide 1994? the man used to deliberately run into people at the final race of the season.

In 1994 it paid off for him. His car was already damaged and as Hill came round to overtake schumi's stricken car, MS hit Hill and put him out of the race. That is how the great 6times world champ won his first championship...for a man whith obviously so much talent its a damn discrace. In 1997 at Jerez he barged JV off the track...this time the FIA pulled him up on this and he lost the championship and had his chamionship pionts removed from him for that season. Since then he's matured a lot and I have enourmous respect for him. But when people complain about Montoya and Schumi touching they have got to remember Montoya is just doing his job...as is MS, and they will inevitably touch...that's racing for you. Its about time we saw things like this happening again since the Hill vs Schumi battles in the mid 90's the overtaking has become "tame" nobody takes a risk no more, and I'm sure even Michael thinks that it improves the sport (Obviously he'd like it more if it didnt invole himself...but thats just human).

I loved Montoya's action when Schumi smashed into him twice today (RS).

I must have missed something because all I could see was one Montoya locking his front wheels and sliding into Ralf ?
