I'm reopening that thread while also temporarily closing this one (it will be reopened after the Abu Dhabi test). I'm also moving all Honda related posts to the 29H thread. The posts about the 20 engineers belong in the team thread and are moved to there.

seat is missing isnt it? therefore the components seen would have the seat moulded around them.

Indeed, there's no seat in, and yes, I believe that's the cockpit fire extinguisher.

Does anyone use Schumacher type seat?
The fastidious Schumacher has all this done for him, but then the seat has an additional series of inflatable cushions added, to bolster him in the right position for complete security and comfort when he’s driving. These bladders are linked with pipes to valves at the top of the seat. His engineer will fit a pump to these valves and tune the padding to meet Schumacher’s needs. This makes his seat the most complicated in F1. He started using this from 2005.

What is that silver gear lever type knob on the bottom right of the picture? There was also some thing similar in Kubica's car which he was holding on to when he crashed in Canada 2007.

I don't see the knob you're referring to. I see a cover over a port labeled "download" and a switch labeled "vol". What's the gear lever like thing you're talking about?

I think they´ve moved it on the steering wheel this year

That cannot be the brake bias. That was always on the steering wheel since the beginning of bridgestone era

In sometime in the early 2000's schumacher era, ferrari came up with a system which moves the brake bias from front to rear during the braking phase. This was a spring loaded system which the driver reset for corners needed. The main function of it being aero stability through out the barking period

This was considered illegal but since it is a mechanical system with no input from the driver it was considered legal.

Haven't seen this system recently or have heard of this systems evolution. Also thought they will not be using it in the brake by wire era.
