Mercedes AMG F1 W06 Speculation

If I'm not mistaken, the W06 will run for the very first time the day after tomorrow (15th) on a filming day (according to Wolff). Any chance we'll get a sneak peek (via a hidden photographer or someone)? Probably not?

A few RBR fans said that. Oh, and Horner kept saying it throughout the season but I think that was just to keep the sponsors, and his ego, happy.

At one race, towards the end of the season, Horner spouted the line about RBR being the fastest in the aero-dependant sector showing that they were still the best. I checked the times and they were no better than 4 or 5 in that sector.

You can tell when Horner is talking rubbish - his lips are moving!

The tell all when it came to chassis were the sector 1 times at Suzuka. The cars were all setup for maximum downforce due to the expected weather conditions, and Merc turned out to be significantly faster in the esses.

And I completely agree about Horner. He learned PR Bernie afterall.

I never collected it but they did another speed trace in Monza, Parabolica.
However if i remember correctly the speed difference quite big even among the merc drivers so perhaps not the best one.

With Green´s comments i don´t think we really need to confirm it, he´s got data from all the cars through GPS so he should know what he´s talking about.

I can remember that most of the times Mercedes were fastest.

Ham was much faster than Ros through Parabolica, which was why he got pole. He was able to carry much more speed - remember reading an article about it.

I might not have gotten all, mind started wandering mid-way through Q2.
Not a very good area to measure speed though i think as it seems to be more driving-style oriented then your typical corner.
Last one is quite interesting.

It shows why Red Bull has promoted Kyvat to Red Bull Racing. He has raw speed. He showed it in Russia to. Weakest engine, not the best aero package but still qualified 5th.

I'm not so sure it's raw speed in this turn as much as it is large ones, if you know what i mean.

Not trying to stir anything here, but can you please point me to a discussion in which it was determined whether ferrari is less powerful than the renault or vice versa.
