The back slanted peice is the toe link. All five members are there. U just have to look a bit more....

Yes, they try to direct the air in the same direction and upward as what the diffuser does. The wake of the tires tends to create a V wake that create a convergent flow structure where you want a divergent instead.

I do believe that this is the correct layout of the MP4-30 rear suspension.

Basicly they moved the toe arm (RED) in front of the driveshaft (ORANGE), while the two wing-shaped arms towards the back of the car (YELLOW) are joint together in a triangle.

(In CYAN the upper wishbone and in BLUE the pull-rod lever).

They have been able to raise all the arms and get a cleaner area around the first half of the tyre, obviously for aerodynamic reasons.

i've put our speculations about this rear suspension geometry (focusing on lower part).... because i think there wasn't much attention about it, here on f1technical...
your recostruction is very good ...maybe the pull-rod lever must be put more oblique... =D>
They are all aerodynamic advantages... but i consider, however, a strange solution... :wink:

(1) I agree... and it's quite strange, considering how carefully this forum usually analyzes each single part of the cars and how 'new' is this idea from McLaren!

(2) Absolutely... just a very rough scheme... no intention to be fully precise... just to give the idea of the layout.

The left endplate seems to have a shroud with an exit near the Trailing Edge.

Do you mean on the inner face of the endplate just above the vertical strakes? If so, that's a reflection of the engine cover and the "slot" you see is the end of the engine cover that vents the engine bay heat. Look to the right of that "slot" and you can just make out the reflection of D and A of the word HONDA on the engine cover.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Not the first time a reflection has played tricks on the eyes of this forum!!
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Mclaren must see a benefit to not integrating the drive shaft with the suspension as this staggered top and bottom a-arm arrangement they have is clever, but a risk as it looks very particular in its pickup points and not almost infinitely adjustable as Mercedes' carbon encased gearbox practically is. Mclaren could have have the situation where this car runs particularly well at some circuits but not others.

it looks pretty good and planted on most of that video,so that Kravitz comments were most likly made when Alonso was on old wet tires and the track was pretty dry by than.
