"...and there, very much in flames, is Jacques Laffite's Ligier. That's obviously a turbo blaze, and of course, Laffite will be able to see that conflagration in his mirrors... he is coolly parking the car somewhere safe."Murray Walker, San Marino 1985
Valtteri Bottas in a return to the pitlane with the Williams FW37 seen replace the entire face by mechanical Grove: a maneuver carried out in a few seconds. Sir Frank's team is taking care of every detail of the stops that last year cost him some positions important to the uncertainties of the crew and pilots.
Williams, however, was not limited to replace the nose, but has done a test back to back with a new front wing (photo Nugnes) aimed at increasing downforce. And 'again the main profile and the upper flap are several shorter to leave space to a flow deflector directs air to the outside of the front wheel, following a trend that has been imposed by the Mercedes.
E 'was also changed the side plate with an opening more evident in the final part. L 'endplane has a nolder, while among the slots have appeared small flow diverters useful to deflect murble rubber that might clog the flap. Recovery, then, an idea of Adrian Newey who made school on Red Bull Racing.
16:21 After witnessing Rosberg's blistering run trackside, KARUN CHANDHOK suggests it's not all doom and gloom for Mercedes' rivals.
"I was out watching Rosberg's quail run through Turns 7, 8 and 9 and it looked like a properly quick, committed lap. The car was working well.
"I still think that while his lap was seven-tenths faster than Massa's yesterday, the track's had another day of rubber. So I would argue that Williams could probably get within three or four tenths of that time. "

"Williams' Chief Technical Officer Pat Symonds says that the FW37 is running in full Melbourne-spec. There will be a couple of new parts added to the car when it arrives at the Albert Park track, but this is the version of the car that will race in the Australian Grand Prix."
Valtteri Bottas is currently second for Williams with a best time of 1:26.440 from 19 laps spent mostly on the medium tyre.
