Sorry for the doom and gloom, as a mclaren for over a decade I should have know better than to allow myself to get my hopes up after seeing the car at the launch.
Even in this awful scenario it would good for Alonso to drive in Melbourne, he needs to gain experience with the car, know it and try to understand it.
Calm down boys, I know that the situation is not good at all, but lets wait and see what happens in the next three days. Anyway its worrying to see that they have to homologate the power unit on Monday.
