Red Bull RB11 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I figured they were doing so because they had more power at their disposal with the upgraded Renault PU. The slots are probably to help the wing work better, not stall the wing.
More power....but yet still down on merc and ferrari ???

The slots may be for transients, which means in high speed and medium speed turns.

The livery change is better, but I liked the elongated flowing lines of the RB10. That was the best looking car last year.

It also looks like they moved some of the components up top lower, there isn't a higher cooling exit like the 10 had.

They all went the old Ferrari way with this year. I think everyone now have main cooling outlets at the back of the sidepods.

Mclaren still has a larger exit higher up from the roll hoop back, like the RB10 had. But yes, all teams seem to exit the exhaust in roughly the same place, except for Williams.

Yes hence the bigger sidepods. Mclaren are doing the oposite; though in the same vein.

Took a quick screenshot of Redbulls "2015 starts here" video they posted on facebook.

Seems they didn't run any monkey seat, nor did they run a central rear wing pilon. Also the S-duct seems to be closed :wtf:

I'm not sure that's an rb11, for starters it has a beam wing and little spines on the upper nose section!

After all the Hide and Seek in Testing RedBull is lacking in Australia.

Don't know if that is from RB too but it seems so. The Renault Engine fully uncovered.

I think that turbo looks a lot bigger than last year's version.

Disappointing. No real changes on the Turbo and it's airbox. It's as cumbersome and distant from the exhaust\intake as the 2014 version.
