But based on race result they will be in front, even if they don't finish. It's all about position ;-)

*edit* Adam Cooper reports he was also told they might not be able to run.

Could be a 16 car grid..
I hope its not true. I can imagine how depressive it could been this for the both young drivers of this team.

Manor and Sauber might not to race.
McLaren might run for just a few laps.
FI is probably pretty slow.

Lets all thank Bernie for this wonderful F1 he's giving to the fans. ¬¬'

Pirelli tyres lasting forever? The drop from on the Softs from the first couple of laps will be already on the seconds. The 2015 harder tyres were getting destroyed lap after lap even in the cold Barcelona. For reference, Kimi, on his race simulation, used the Hard compound during his second stint. His first lap was 1.29.562 and, by lap 15, he was already on 1.32.559. So, lost 3s in 14 laps and that's with 14 laps of fuel lighter.

They changed the supersoft compound, but they changed the construction of all the tires!
It will distribute the heat a bit better but degradation will remain high, as typical since Pirelli entered in 2011. I say this because the compounds are the same and you can't expect a big change with just a tiny bit of extra contact patch, due to a newer construction.

I heard temperature is predicted to be pretty high for QLF(28C). If so, I'm guessing pole time around low 1.37. If cooler(low 20sC), then high 36

How will they run the QF session if theres just 16 cars on the grid?
Skip Q1 altogether or rule out the last 2-4 cars?

With 16 cars, 3 drivers would drop out in Q1 and then another 3 in Q2.
