Williams FW37 Mercedes

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I did not think the Williams packaging could get any tighter...

The outlets must be tiny, any shots from the rear of the car?

The bodywork is incredibly close to the exhaust. Lovely stuff! I wonder whether it is raceable?

Apparently temperatures may be higher than expected:

Very nice and tight at the rear. I expect Williams to go a bit better here with the slow corners and long straights.

I think we'll need more rear view photos to figure it out.

The drivers are saying that traction coming out of low speed corners is a weakness for the FW37 at the moment.

I don't think you could rap that car any tighter, it looks like they vacuum sealed the body on

If McLaren is size zero what is this minus 2? Any theory on how they can run with so little hot air exit? Even if not seen from the back yet it is going to have tiny hot air outlets. Will all cars start to minimize the hot air exits as engines can change materials for cost saving and reliability. With a year of data are they all getting on top of heat? The Ferrari ran with no extra exits in Malaysia now we see this.
