Worst place to get one..
Might create a havoc at the back forcing some safety car period in the race. It will be interesting to see then what strategy Mercedes and Ferrari come up with against each other.
Current seasons need some incidents else this season gonna end in another disappointment for the fans who want to see some track competition.

Hamilton has set the fastest lap with a good advantage. He is followed by the Ferrraris who have shown a good pace too. Another good position is the one achieved by Fernando, being 6th. Yes its only FP1 but at least it could be an indication of a probable good performance of the Mclaren. Button has suffered some technical problems(again), though.

No honorable mention to Verstappen's time :P?

The kid did actually very well. He'll probably not be a match to either Mercedes or Ferrari, but I do see him mixing it up with the Williams cars.

How early in the session did Hamilton set that time? Very impressive pace from him so early on I feel. But having that day in between might mean a lot of the work done here is a little pointless on the car, its more for the drivers to get their eye in.

I think around the half hour point. Mercedes did not bother with another qualy push in the last 10 minutes of the session, so indeed very impressive pace.

Front row once again for both Mercedes with an impressive gap, taking into account that usually the gaps in this track are smaller. Lets hope that Ferrari can do more than this.

This time Sainz in front of Verstappen, I have already said that the Spaniard will make a great job too.

Alonso 8th(dont troll me internet), a position to be positive, I think.

You can't read the times at all, Vasconia, even less than usual. It started to rain about 30m in, and went nonstop until the end of the season, so everybody was on even more different parts of the programme.
I am not amazed by F1 cars in Monaco. I want to see them driving in the A8 highway: Variable radius corners, negative banking, and extreme narrowings that Tilke has never dreamed off. Oh, yes, and "beautiful" weather tops it all.
