WTH? The lie doesn't even make sense.

This thread will get locked soon, because it was so obvious what happened (politics demanded Rosberg win the local of Monaco) and people will vent and mods will lock.
Disgusting Race year after year. Remove ASAP.

Lewis lives in Monaco as well, how is Nico 'the local'?

The Problem ist that the primes were much quicker than it looked at first glance since they spent the whole race in cruise control. After the restart the cars on the old primes could suddenly run more than 1,5s quicker than during the previous procession. Nico ran a 1:18 on the primes. Thus the Advantage of the Super Softs was probably smaller than expected.
This just shows how far they are from running flat out these days even on the harder tyres and it possibly contributed to the gross misjudgement by the Merc strategy Team.
You don´t pit with 7 laps to go, period. Any other track, sure but Monaco?
Only a brain dead person would make such a decision.

I think that is an unfair comparison. In case of Barrichello, Ferrari asked him to let Michael pass while here it was a bad call by the team. No fault of Nico, he did a good job keeping Vettel behind.

I am a Lewis fan and it was sad to see him not win after all the hard work however in F1 at times you need some luck and it was Nico's day today. Remember what Lewis said in one of the earlier races, I am here to think about my race and not Nico's race.

Whats is he real going to do, He knows the win was lucky, he said so on the podium,
Don't worry though Hamilton will show his displeasure with the team by wearing his street clothes and gold chains for the team photo

Not once, twice this year alone. Malaysia was a blunder and this one is a kindergarten mistake. The guy must have been on a pot shot, simply can't do his job.

Christmas comes early for Rosberg this year, but Hamilton should share the fault. I wouldn’t have come in and he shouldn’t have either.

He should've taken a leaf out of Ayrton's book even if his tires were ruined. Which they weren't.

They obviously were not 100% certain that the tyres would last to end if someone from the back came on fresh tires, so they split the strategy between the two drivers to make sure one of them did the right thing. One could of course argue that Rosberg should have been the one gambling on the riskier strategy, but on the other hand, Hamilton seemed to have time for a stop.

Anyway, this is what we get as long as formula 1 insists on using a safety car when accidents happens. It is an unfair concept by nature to rob everyone of the time advantage they have built up over the race and some times the best drivers have to pay the price of someone else's mistake. This has happened many times before and it will happen again. On a side note, safety car is only unfair, it is also an extremely inefficient way of maintaining safety, as cleaning of the track is hampered by the field passing every 2 minutes, and some times driving under safety car could also be risky. My understanding is that the reason safety car is used in formula 1 is to creat excitement and to some times put new life into a race that seemed over. In other words, the very purpose is to accomplish exactly what happened to Hamilton today.
Vettel in 2011? i think, had old dead tyres and has maintained the lead of a race against cars on much faster tyres. At this track you simply cant be overtaken if your car has good traction.
Hamilton was never under threat from the ferrari in third place. Nico is between Hamilton and Vettel, how the heck can Vettel be a threat?
Similar thing happened in Malaysia.. and we've seen similar things will Lewis in the past. He's just not lucky when it comes to his team's strategy. Always seems to attract high risk tactics from his team.
For Sure!!

He got the wrong reason, but if I can don my tinfoil hat: I wouldn't be surprised if this call came from higher up, simply to stop HAM from securing the title by Hungary.

Part of being a racing driver is trusting the team. Plus he's an employee for the team. So he does what they tell him because they have far more info than he does and should know the best way forward to win the race.
