Red Bull RB11 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Is that slimmer wing comparison shot from Ricciardo's or Kvyat's car in Canada? If I'm remembering right Ricciardo had quite a bit higher downforce setup than Kvyat and I think a smaller rear wing. So is that comparison shot a case of dropping Ricciardo's rear wing towards the levels Kvyat ran in Canada, or is that way less wing than Kvyat ran in Canada?

Probably the team getting ready for a race from the back of the pack, engine penaltys have arrived.

More renault apologists sigh... How on earth can anyone STILL rationally defend renault at this point (without an ulterior motive, such as being a RB hater trough and trough) is mind blowing.

Blame engine related troubles on them. Of which there are many.

You wouldn't have respect for them either way, otherwise you wouldn't take the time to write this post.

Basically cover renault's sorry as**s for the monumental failure they have become.

I`m sorry if you don`t agree with what i wrote but i must state that i have the utmost respect for what Red-Bull racing have done for the sport and think their successes of the past were fully deserved. Personally i don`t hate any team in Formula 1, i don`t have a favourite team or driver (allthough Webber was probably my most liked from the recent era) and certainly don`t have any agenda or ulterior motive.
Most of the F1 watching public are reasonably knowledgable and even if they aren`t will soon be told by reporters/column writers what exactly is going on. People will see the engine blow up or be told retirement is due to an engine failure!
I just don`t like this washing your dirty linen in public and sly jibes. I`m pretty sure Renault themselves know they haven`t come up to scratch in the engine department but within the constraints of the regulations i imagine it`s very difficult to make amends quickly and easily. Red-Bull and Renault are supposed to be team, lets hope they start acting more like one and can get up there with the Mercs, Ferarris and hopefully McLaren Hondas. To have four or more teams with different engines all able to fight for wins would would do the sport the world of good....

Lets hope for a great weekend.

Looks like a very skinny rear wing with low angle of attack. Imagine what they'll run in Monza..

Guess they have no choise :(

Not when according to themselves are 120 hp down on mercedes http://www.motorline.cc/formel1/archiv/ ... 97351.html

What can they do ?? Nothing. RB and Toro rosso would have been in front of ferrari perhaps also mercedes if not due to the renault PU that is more or less a complete design flaw. Ferari have cached up.. The renault PU has 20 hp less this year than last and worse drivability ... So .. I think that renault calls it at the end of this year,....
