This lap was an 1:18.8 btw - schumi nearly getting into q3 despite a 2 second penalty. Phenomenal lap.
What a beautiful wild ride! And the screaming engine... And the Speed in the turns, you can actually feel the g's by just watching it...!
When you watch that you know what you're missing in current F1...

A good look at the sector times. I don't get it how is Ric slower than Rai, with those sector times it should be 1:25.3 for Ric or maybe the screen shows just the best sectors times of each driver. https://twitter.com/tororossospy/status ... 6254298112
The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

The track is so damned uneven so that the cars are shaking apart.

Sainz faster than Verstappen yet again.

Hopefully he is given a top drive when Verstappen is hyped into a RB seat over him.

I was following Perez a few laps prior to his crash and I noticed that his car was already bouncing a lot compared to other cars, on the straights and in the corners.

I agree, Verstappen keeps receiving the hype but Sainz has really done well this year. Both drivers look talented.

how come FI is allowed to block the garage while working on Perez car?

from the sporting regulation:

27.4 During the entire Event, no screen, cover or other obstruction which in any way obscures any
part of a car will be allowed at any time in the paddock, garages, pit lane or grid, unless it is
clear any such covers are needed solely for mechanical reasons, which could, for example,
include protecting against fire.

Phew one more team ready to give the Ferrari's a cause of concern.. looking at FP2 the Ferrari's are more than a second off on the fastest Merc and behind the Redbulls at the moment... it was the Williams earlier and now Redbulls.. warm or cold, give them all the tyres the result will be the same...
