Dennis: "Firstly, effectively, we will still have as an offset the revenue from the points earned to date. That will effectively half the size of the cheque we have to sign, if we ultimately accept this fine.
"But as you can see if you read our accounts, we turn over roughly $450-500 million USD a year, and we are debt-free, so obviously we are a very strong company with phenomenal growth.
"I jokingly asked [Mercedes motorsport director] Norbert [Haug] if he was going to chip in half, but we haven't really come to a conclusion on that negotiation."
I don't know what anyone else thinks. But comments like this coming from a supposedly 100% innocent, party that has just been found GUILTY , fined $100 Million & stripped of all there WCC points does not sit right with me. To me it sound like someone who knows he got away with it and is going to take the lesser punishment gladly, but still cry foul so the McLaren honesty/ virtue myth & the Ferrari evil empire myth lives on.
If they don’t appeal the decision this just proves to me they are guilty………………………………….. Or are they so honourable, honest & beyond guilt they would not stoop down to Ferrari’s level.
Again please don’t make me laugh http://www.thepocket.com/wavs/moneypit3.wav
